For 50 years, Marie-Luise Genz and Willi Rudi Alwin Genz have lived on the border to the Uckermark in Werbelow. The Photographic Work accompanied the everyday life of my grandparents to develop an understanding of their lives was spent in a single place place for more than half a century.

The following photographs provide an insight look into life beyond the routine of urban citys and lead back to places of remembrance. A life between habitation, gardening and cattle breeding that is associated with a history and a memory of a time which was determined by daily life in the GDR, the fall of the Berlin wall and upheavals of the turning point in history.
